Creating Calm
How has you summer been treating you so far? What have you been up to? Have you been taking time to nurture your wellbeing? Or has chronic stress been holding back from experiencing true joy? So many of us have been affected by stress, to the point that we experience it as pain in the chest, a shortness of breath or brain fog. Yoga has taught me that there are many ways to influence our stress response so that we can experience life in a more relaxed and meaningful way. It is challenging to be in a place of calm and compassion when we are stuck in a state of stress and anxiety. I promise you though, if you take the time to listen to your body, it will not lead you astray. Our bodies are our greatest teachers once we set an intention to learn how to attentively listen.
